PSLE reflection

The PSLE is finally over after 4 torturing (no computer games) days. All the 6 years of studying have finally been put to the test.

The PSLE was quite easy overall, but it was hard in some of the papers.
The hardness of the papers were(on a scale of 1-10):
English:6-Still on the safe side
Math:8-Hard for paper 2. Paper 1 still easy
Science:6-Also on the safe side
Chinese:7-It was very hard to write the composition

The one thing that bugs me is that I only felt a little stress, unlike my classmate who has been my friend for 6 years.He was stressed out even before the PSLE had started.Hope that he gets good grades for his exam.Hope that I get good grades too, or else my parents might slaughter me. :o

Term 2 Week 2: Learning Journey @ National Museum of Singapore

My class went on a learning journey to the National Museum of Singapore and i thought that it was a very high ceiling type of museum like those in the movies,but the ceiling was shorter than expected.When we reached the museum it was quite big but quite cramped in the gallery.When I entered the gallery,i was quite bamboozled by the artifacts especially when we met with a split road.It was cramped with about 40+ people in a quite small room.

Mostly having this museum reminds us about Singapore's past and how it was like before in the olden days.Even though we visited a lot of galleries, the most interesting thing about them is what that's inside.But really, the most interesting thing is the food gallery,there were lots of different smelling food items which were all quite bad smelling to be honest.The only bad thing about the trip was at the food gallery when Ryan Ng asked me to smell one of the food items, when I smelled the food item,Ryan Ng pulled the key lots of times and the smell was so strong that I fell back.

What I learnt from the museum was mostly what people did in the past, what they had for entertainment and what they wore then.

This is all I could say and no more.

Term 2 Week 1: Earth Hour

Earth hour is when almost everybody around the world is going to switch off their electrical appliances in an effort to prevent global warming.Earth hour is held on 29th March 2009 this year
.This year I will put in some effort in switching off my lights and computers.My family and I could play with some sparklers on my corridor.Now,the Earth is experiencing hot weathers as when fossil fuels are burned to make electricity, therefore producing carbon dioxide.The carbon dioxide then travels up to the atmosphere trapping heat and causing the greenhouse effect.We could switch off lights which are not in use and sleep with the fan on rather than the air-con.This should all help reduce global warming.

Term 1 Week 10: After Class Test 1...

My CA1 results are not actually what i expected to get but i am quite delighted with the results i got.However i feel that i have not put in much effort as my results are lower than last years SA2 results.I can extend my studying time or go to a website called pupilspace where there are many activities and fun quizzes on subjects(except mother toungue).I could probably try out some of the counselors exam helping tips.

My results i hope to get for SA1:

English:70Marks
Math:85Marks
Science:72Marks
Mother Toungue:60Marks

Hope all this results wil be achieved(Please!):)

Term 1 Week 8: Singapore Education System

I agree that the education system is too specialized, rigid, and elitist and that providing differentiated curriculum according to streams since the late 1970s have allowed students with different abilities and learning styles to develop, and sustain an interest in their studies and Singapore's success in education and bringing drop-out rates down sharply.

I think that the strengths of our education system are in assessments as my teacher said that whenever we sit down for papers we do very well.And the weaknesses of our education system is in explaining stuff, whenever we try to explain stuff we just can't explain well while other countries are able to explain very well.

Singaporeans doing well in international competitions is probably due to our rigorous education system.What I like about our education system is that it test us of our knowledge and makes us do better,but I dislike the fact that the exams/test are hard and when we fail, it is a big blow to students especially the smart ones(if they scored high for the past exams).The ministry,other than giving tons of exams, could,maybe,lessen the number of examinations as this may stress out students.

Other students from other countries are coming to Singapore to study because Singapore has won many awards in competitions and is very sophisticated in teaching.

Term 1 Week 7: Activities Outside School

I don't have any activities outside of school but when i reach home i do my homework and some revision. I usually do revision everyday and spend about 1 hour on each subject which is 4 hours. on Tuesday i have to stay back until 5.30pm, and after taking the bus home it would be 6.00pm. After bathing it would be 6.10pm as i need to wait for the water to heat up, during the 5 minutes of water heating i watch some TV.After i bath i have to do my homework,and this takes about 2 hours if there is a lot of homework and 1 hour if it's little.After that i watch my usual night shows and sleep at 9pm or 9.30pm

What i will defend

1.My family as they always care for me when I was sick or injured, And when I was young and was lonely they would play with me.

2.My Friends as they always comfort me when i was sad, eat with me when i sat alone in the cafe.Help me with questions i do not understand.

3.My health as i am weak and am underweight.

I hope this year what i wrote here will be defended.

To achieve this target...

I must sleep earlier so that when i wake up i will be refreshed and ready to study.

I will eat more healthy food and go exercising when i have the chance.

I will pay attention in class and try to finish work guven neatly and quickly.

I will spend less time surfing the web and playing computer games

I will attend my remedials and tutions when and where.

I will relax at appropriate times.

Teachers can organize some teamwork games like a treasure hunt to enhance the students teamwork and self-discipline.

New year resolutions

This year my New Year resolution is to work hard for my PSLE and get into a secondary school which is suitable for me. But that would be hard as my target for my PSLE is 240 and the average my teacher said to achieve this target is i think 70+, and my chinese is low which makes it hard. I also plan to go for the robotics competition in my robotics club as i didn't choose to enter it last year,it was because i was afraid that i would let the team down. I plan to take up badminton next year (but i'm still thinking about it) if there is no robotics club in secondary school(if there is can someone tell me about it?).Well i guess that's all, if there is any more things i like to achieve i'll just add on.Bye.

Reflections (Term4 Week 9): The Next Step Forward

This year i have accomplished a few things like passisng my it exam,even though there is another it exam coming up. This year for the school dengue project, our team, the fiery five, won first in the class! And we even got certificates for our work.

This year in my it robotics CCA, i was chosen to go for the robotics tournament. But i did not want to go because i did not really know how to operate the robot, and i was also afraid that if i made a mistake, i would be scolded by my teammates. But in the end our team lost anyway. After the tournament i somehow started to know how to program the robots.

There was also the time when the class went to bukit chandu for a social studies project. After that day i became scared of sudden noises when i go to bed.

At home i also keep a pet dog, her birthday was only a few days ago. Our whole family excluding my mother forgot about her birthday.By the way her name is princess.

In these 8 weeks i hope to learn how to swim(if my parents have time to go swimming).I also hope to learn how to cycle in the 8 weeks and in the first few weeks of 2009.Hope this is long enough...

Beijing Olympics reflection

The origin of the Beijing Olympics is Greece. It is an important event in sports as it proves which country is the best in sports. I have watched the table tennis events where Singapore battles China, I watched this event because it was exciting and my whole family watched it too, especially my brother. Li Jia Wei of the table tennis match impressed me because of her tactics. I would like to participate in the Olympic games table tennis match because if I win a gold I would make Singapore an athletic country. I think it is worth organizing the Olympic games as it was fun watching the games and cheering at home.

Sleepy kids reflection

Everyday i have about 9 hours and 30 minutes of sleep which is not enough as when i wake up every morning i feel sleepy and tired. My parents make me and my big brother sleep early.I will play my nintendo ds at about 7.00pm+ and end at 9.00pm because 9.00pm is my sleeping time.I sometimes have too much things to do but i usually do it before i play my games. Iusually have more maths and chinese homework than my english and science homework.I think that we should sleep earlier to be refreshed for the next day.

Cyberbullying reflection

Cyberbullies hurt other people on the internets. Cyberbullies engage in battle by writing bad things about others on the internet just to relinquish their anger, but after that the other person reads the message and feels sad and enraged. This makes that person you are angry at enraged too and he may write bad things back. If you encounter a cyberbully you can stop this by telling your teachers. You can also tell the bully to stop.

National day rehearsal(preview) reflection

On the day of the National day rehearsal i arrived in school at about 1.40pm and waited for my friends. Mr leong announced that the bus had not come yet so. We had to wait for the bus for about 1-2 hours, i borrowed my friends hand phone and transfered some songs over. we took our goodie bags and boarded the bus. The trip felt kind of short, a few minutes later we were dropped off and still had to walk a distance. After walking we finally reached the stadium, we sat down and ate some of the food in the goodie bag. There was a performance by the red lions and the dark knights. The show was nice especially at the ending. There were fireworks and we had to sing the national anthem again. My classmates behind me kept on shouting like girls and they were boys. After the show we went home and had a good rest.

Man i didn't post for about a month.Today I'm staying at my grandpa's office like everyday but my baby cousin(girl) is at home and my grandpa went to Malaysia with my grandma. It's boring here... good thing there's a com here or else i would have been bored to death, but i also bought my nds so it would have not been that boring.Anyway play some games on the com so seeya.

I would eat at the canteen because i fell hungry but sometimes i don't have an appetite to eat at all. My favourite stall is number 4 because it has my favourite food of all fish ball mee! The drinks at the stalls are sweet but its a bit of unhealty since its sweet, and too much can make you sick.
The food and drinks at the stalls are a little unhealty since my friends once spotted a cockroach on the food sign of one of the stalls and a lizards tail in a bowl of something.One of the healty food sold at the food stalls are the fruits.
I could suggest adding some salad to the menu.

zzzz......I didn't post for so long i feel like writing a whole bunch of stuff zzz and now my mum's playing a song for my baby cousin(it's a she)... haiz i take back what i said just now... i really don't know what to type now well,I received loads of homework today and well tomorrow's sports day and i get to see my friends run i think 200m-800m.Wish i was one of the runners...zzz...well hope it will be more fun then the last year.That's all I have got to say bye.

Reflection 2:My Ambitions

My dream is to become an engineer, because it requires IT skills,and also I like IT.I would take part in IT conventions and learn more about IT stuff so that i could become an engineer and also hope to be the best of all the engineers in the world if i could be...I think that being an engineer is a tough job because if you make a mistake in fixing the stuff it may cost an explosion or something.I really hope that i could be one one day.

Haiz today i didn't go to the school for the sports carnival because my mum said so and also i don't know how to swim at all...so i followed my mother to her office and it's boring here...i can't stay at home because my brother is at school and even if he's free my mum won' t let him and me stay at home...boring...

Today i and my mother went to school to meet Mr Tan for the parents teacher meeting,Mr Tan said that i was good and so on i can't remember what he said then well gona play a game since it's boring at my mums office...wish that there will be more holidays and also it would snow even though i get really cold in the snow...well seeya.

Today i got my science paper back and i got 38 marks it was still good enough i guess since my maths is 48 and a half.I feel that my marks are still not good enough and i would want to do better in the sa1 test hope i get 40+ marks or it will be the same as this test.Hope i do good even though its to early to say well off to playing dota bye.

Today i went out to eat macdonald with my family and my dog.While we were eating my dog kept trying to come out of the bag(we put her in a bag for dogs so that she wouldn't come out) and she barked once or twice when she saw my brother eating his hamburger.So my father bought my dog for a walk around macdonald and when we were finished eating we went to a playground for dogs in pasir ris and my dog ran around but after a while she lied down on the grass and her belly was dirty with grass, when we were going home she was in the car sleeping.When we reached home i watch tv,then i wanted to play computer,i asked my mother if i could and she said after i ate lunch.So after lunch i went to on the computer and started playing dota with my bro and some other games too.well that's all bye.

Today my brother had to go and ask people to buy the schools jumble jumbo sale coupons. They use the coupons as money to buy stuff there. So my brother went from houses to houses to ask people to buy,while he was out my dad,mum and me brought my dog out to buy her dog food.She doesn't bark when we're outside but at home she barks alot,while we were outside my dog had to seat in the car and wait she kept trying to bite anyone who tries to touch her and when i just wanted to rub her she bite me! it was painful,since she was teething she had to bite something.Haiz...hope that her teeth would grow quicker...feel like buying a small dog...haiz...

I got my Chinese paper back and i got 29 marks.it was kind of depressing but at least i got lots of marks for my maths.This week was the best week ever i think.can't wait for the holidays...

I got the test papers back!!!My marks for English was kind of depressing because i was hopping to get 40+ marks but i got 34 and a half marks it was still good anyway, but guess what cheered me up my maths test i got 48 and a half marks!!! when the teacher said that i had 48 and a half marks i was shocked and everyone clapped for me it was a miracle the points i lost was for careless mistakes... but i got to beat a lot of people in the class. And the teacher was also shocked, he said that he did not know i could get this marks because he said that i looked blur in class. Anyway i 'm going to add a movie in a new post hope you will like it!!!

Today I took the Chinese test it was a little easy and hard since I'm not good at reading Chinese words...after school i had Chinese tuition because my Chinese was bad.Looks like that's all i can say about this day hope you enjoy reading it.

At school today i took the maths test it was kind of easy but at the same time confusing with all the numbers i had to draw a working on the side of the paper.I hope i will get at lease 40+ marks over 50 marks on all the subjects i can't wait till Mr tan my teacher returns the test papers.I just can't wait......

This book is about Monster lakes and how they are formed. And Blake your monster lake guide in the book will be telling you what some of the complicated words mean. 4-day holiday

In the 4-day holiday I went to my relatives house and had some fun but it was a little boring there too. After that me and my family went home to feed my 3 month old dog. She always jumps up and down when she hears the sound of her food,anyway I had a fun because i recieved lots of money from my realitives.Thanks for reading bye!!!
